Case studies
London Borough of Sutton
We have also carried out a study of the Clockhouse Estate in Coulsdon for the London Borough of Sutton. This is a typical low density town house estate built during the 1940's.
Many of the houses on the estate are made of prefabricated materials and are life expired. Our work consisted of examining adjoining garage areas that had fallen out of use and offering advice on their residential potential — possibly as part of a bigger demolition and remodeling programme.
We also undertook a 100% postal survey of estate residents asking for their views on parking and garage use locally.
