What we do
Since our formation Platow Associates has expanded rapidly. We now undertake a wide variety of housing and urban regeneration work including:
- Producing plans for better land use and the resolution of environmental problems on residential estates
- Analysis of land use, ownership and potential in town centres and defined regeneration areas
- Searching for development sites and properties, identifying their owners and putting them in 1 to 1 contact with a client
- Establishing the ownership of abandoned or derelict land and property
- Carrying out Purchase and Repair Programmes and other similar acquisition schemes
- Asset Management Surveys - Looking at the existing stock of a Housing Association or local authority to find sites and properties with development or redevelopment potential
- Carrying out surveys of the opinions of tenants, residents and leaseholders
- Locating unused or partially used playing fields, sports grounds and open space that can be utilized by schools and community groups
- Identifying opportunities for local food production — finding defunct market gardens, allotments and small sites that can be transformed to produce local, seasonal food by a variety of users
- Advising on and obtaining funding for specific projects
